Mini 1293 Turbo Clubman 1978

1293cc MG Turbo engine and gearbox carefully rebuilt by a qualified mechanic (previous owner) and run very little since. We have basically recommissioned the car, its now fully serviced (large K&N oil filter) and now has a new MOT and we fitted most of the new parts which were bought by the previous owner. We have made the dashboard and the 3 extra clocks, so that you know what the engine is doing, it was set up on the dyno and runs very well. Ported/polished head MG metro cam, genuine Turbo box with the big 3rd motion nose bearing. Quickshift gearchange and new gearbox steady bars.

Body is in good solid condition, with good sills, doors and A panels, looks like it has been waxoiled and undersealed for many years...The Subaru Blue paint was done in 2006, its not mint or concourse, has a few bubbles with an odd scratch and has been touched up at both front corners, there is also a small crack on the bonnet about 15mm long....personal taste, I would fit a standard bonnet (can supply one) and respray the front. All the windows are etched with the registration number. The exhaust is stainless steel with a Motorbike alloy back box. Has a Metro front mounted radiator well fitted behind the grille and the engine runs at about 75 degrees C.

Interior is rally style, striped out, no carpets or back seat... alloy dash board, front floor plates, rear parcel shelf, door cards and interior handles. Metro dash clocks, Columb stalks and wiring with additional Oil pressure, Capilliary Water Temp and a boost gauge, There is also a bleed valve for the wastegate but it is not connected, the standard Metro Turbo boost modulator is still retained. The battery lead runs inside with a cutoff switch. Copper brake pipes, and stainless braided Goodrich flexy brake hoses, including the Turbo oil feed, and the oil cooler pipes too. Verto Type clutch, with a new slave cylinder fitted at some point. Has the original ignition lock fitted, new door keys and they fit the boot too.

New battery, Turbo oil pressure switch, Ballast resistor, front side indicator lenses, Tex stainless 11 inch heavy duty wipers.

New Superlite 6 x 13 inch wheels....New Bridgestone 175 tyres...Black arches with stainless screws...

New Corbra Monaco seats just removed the polythene, New Sabelt harnesses correctly bolted in.

New Turbo, vented calipers, and New rear subframe, front heavy duty adjustable tie rods, & poly bushes...all done very little since

Adjustable Krypton Spax dampers front and rear (As new)
